Your Hold

Just to curl
curl up in Your palm
Just to suckle
from Your breast
and fall asleep next to them
and rest
Just to pour out my heart
at your table
over a pour over
Your warm words
seeping in to calm
confusion’s cacophony
the chaos of crisis
in, around me
Peace.
You give peace,
and I’m running around
frustrated and filled with fears
What will You do to me?
Why do I think You’ll leave me
for dead?
Why do I fight so hard
for control?
Just to let go
and know Your hold,
forget the frightful future
Your hold
that’s all I want to know.
