Vapor
I try
Vapor
I try
Vapor
I’m grasping for you
Vapor
Oh why
Vapor
Oh why
Vapor
I can’t seem to move
Far from you
far from you
far from you
We wait here like weeds
Far from you
far from you
far from you
We can’t even breathe
So we dance
and we sing
and we breed
and we work
and everything
spins till it
all falls apart,
and we look up
for sun
and a view of your heart
but eluded again
and we all fall apart
(Yes, we all fall apart)
Far from you
far from you
far from you
We wait here like weeds
Far from you
far from you
far from you
We can’t even breathe
We are miserable
creatures
cursed with mirrors
damaged, distracted
and dumb
You’re so far
yet so near
You’re so far
yet so near
The vapor
you hold in your palm
Yes, the vapor’s
a hole in your palm.
