When I found out my older (and only) sister (according to the flesh and according to the Christ) was going to be moving from Florida to Illinois…

This sojourner’s mourning keeps me yearning
for a time and space where
salt water won’t run down my face
and I’ll be around you all the time
and we will sing together,

His bride,
with perfect harmony
consumed in our attention and affection for the Lamb.
This sojourning will never feel comfortable enough,
and that’s how it was
designed to be.
Please,
Daddy,
Help me to proceed
enduring this journey
sorrowful, yet always rejoicing.
